The initiative challenges the public and employees to capture, through photography, gestures and practices of recycling and environmental protection. The 12 winning images will be included in the Valorlis 2027 desk calendar. For each entry, a native tree will be planted.
Valorlis has just launched a photography contest that invites the public and its employees to look at everyday life through the lens of recycling and good environmental practices, promoting creativity, artistic expression, and reflection on the importance of small gestures in preserving natural resources, managing waste, and protecting the environment.
Under the motto of photographing daily life through recycling and environmentally responsible behaviors, the contest challenges participants to capture original images that portray actions, habits, or moments related to recycling and preserving natural resources. The initiative aims to bring the community closer to these themes and reinforce the role of each citizen in building a more sustainable future.
The 12 selected photographs will be included in the Valorlis 2027 desk calendar, giving visibility to the talent of the participants and the different perspectives on recycling and the responsible use of natural resources. The calendar will be distributed among partners and institutions in the region, serving as a vehicle for raising awareness about the importance of recycling, adopting good environmental practices, and promoting sustainability.
By associating creativity with concrete action, Valorlis will also promote the planting of a native tree for each entry received, in the municipality of residence of each participant, contributing to the environmental appreciation of the territory and raising awareness among local communities.
For Marta Loia Guerreiro, Director of Valorlis, "The adoption of good environmental practices is built every day through the gestures of each one of us. This contest aims to involve the community in a positive reflection on recycling, encouraging creativity and showing that small actions can generate a significant impact. By associating each participation with the planting of a tree, we also reinforce Valorlis' commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact in the territories where it is present."
Registration is open until November 3rd, and the rules and conditions of participation can be found at www.valorlis.pt
